It is with heavy hearts that we share on July 6th, 2025 Bryant Christopher Johnson completed his earthly journey and was welcomed into the arms of the Lord. A loving father, grandfather, devoted son, and loyal brother, he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and grace.
Bryant was the oldest of seven siblings, born and delivered by his mother, on October 9th, 1981 in St. Louis, Missouri. As a child, he was very sociable - full of life and energy. He accepted Christ at an early age. Bryant received his GED from Normandy High School and followed with his culinary degree from Job Corps.
At the age of 19, he was blessed with his first of seven children. His heart was full of love for Corey Johnson, Kyra Childs, Miah (Tilor) Johnson, Brennan Johnson, Bailey Johnson, Carter Allen and Nolan Allen. He was cared for by his beloved fiancée Amy Bendyk. He was a proud “B-Paw” to his granddaughters, Kay’Lani and Kennadi Harris. He enjoyed spending time with family & friends, cooking, playing pool, bowling, and camping. Bryant’s calm yet humorous personality was contagious, often surrounded by smiles and laughter. He loved everyone who knew him and was sure to make it known - but above all else, he loved his family.
He is survived by his parents Lucertia Johnson and Kenneth (Kim) Barnes; fiancée; children; grandchildren; four sisters Erica Johnson, Shannon Montgomery, Amina and Amaya Johnson; three brothers, Joshua, Kyle and Kasey Barnes; Niece; Nephews; Aunts; Uncles; Cousins; a host of family and friends.
