Dianne C. Davis was born Dianne C. Elam, daughter of Eloise Elam and Alfred Elam in St. Louis, MO on
December 19, 1947. Dianne went to Sumner High School and graduated in 1966. Dianne was united in
Holy matrimony to Leonard C. Davis Jr in 1973. They were together until the Lord called him home in
1975. They had one son Leonard C. Davis III born that same year. She began her career working at the
Army Records Center. She was a caring and protective person that always put others before herself.
Dianne was a loving devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, relative and friend. In the later
stages she found love again with her long‐time companion Percy Johnson Jr. He was called home in
2016. Her love for children brought her to work in the Jennings school district as a cafeteria worker once
she retired from the Army Records Center after 30 years of work. Dianne gave her life to Christ at an
early age under the guidance of her mother.
She had a huge heart and showed compassion and kindness to everyone she came across. Although she
had only one son, she ingratiated herself and helped raise and mentor many young people. She would
always tell it like it is and was a selfless individual. Dianne displayed unrelenting strength and
determination for life until God called her home on May 19, 2024 at the age of 76 years old.
Dianne is survived by her dutiful son Leonard C. Davis III, steadfast daughter‐in‐law Lanae P. Davis and
her loving granddaughter Kyndal C. Davis. She leaves a innumerable amount of friends and relatives.
She is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus, awaiting the rest of her family and friends who have placed
their hope in Him.
