Emerson gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was a devoted member of the Northside S.D.A Church. Becoming an elder in the church, he set the example for how to live a life in Christ, by loving everyone and sharing the gospel with everyone that he met.
He began working at Ford Motor Company in May of 1967. He worked at Ford until May of 2006 when the Missouri plant closed, and he retired for the first time. He made many lifelong friends during his career with the Ford Motor company. Shortly after retiring from Ford, Emerson started working at Sams club, where he seemed to make a new friend every day. He worked at Sams until he retired in 2019 after receiving a life saving kidney transplant.
Emerson was known for helping someone everywhere. He went out of his way to be a servant to his family and everyone around him. He was passionate about Christ and his family. He made friends and started a conversation everywhere that he went. He was also known for his style. He was always sharply dressed with polished shoes to match his dapper suits.
