Jessica Ross Obituary

Jessica Margaret Ross passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, surrounded by the people who loved her.

Jessica was born in Saint Louis, MO on July 11, 1980, to Wayne Ricardo and Sandra Renee Ross. She was the third of five children. She is preceded in death by both her parents, and sister Sara Ross.

Jessica was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 29, 1995. For many years she volunteered her time in the Regular Pioneer Service.

Jessica had a special way of wanting to make everyone feel welcomed. Her love language was expressed through acts of hospitality. Whether you were walking into her home for the first time or had known her for years, she wanted you to feel at home. She loved hosting get-togethers, cooking good food (especially her Zuppa Tuscana Soup), and creating spaces filled with laughter, music, and connection.

Jessica was adventurous and loved to travel. She traveled all over the world. She also lived in three other cities, Philadelphia, PA, New York, NY and Charlotte, NC, where she built friendships and family relationships that will last forever.

Jessica received her education through the Webster Groves School District where her favorite subject, Choir, nurtured her love for music. Music was a big part of Jessica’s life. It was always playing in the background — during car rides, at family gatherings, or while she was just relaxing at home. She believed a good song could make any day better. As a family we loved to sing and dance in the kitchen while Sara or Tee cooked, often initiated by Jessica.

One of Jessica’s greatest joys was being an aunt. Her nieces and nephews were her heart. She loved spending time with them, cheering them on, and supporting them in any way she could, especially spiritually. Seeing them dedicate their lives to serve Jehovah made her so happy.

Jessica will be remembered for her kindness, her easy laugh, her Jessi-isms, and the way she made everyone feel like family. She leaves behind a family and circle of friends who will miss her deeply.

She is survived by: Aunts - Cynthia Ross, Sylvia Blue, and Donna Beasley; Sisters - Tonya Ross and Christina (Tyrone) Demyers; Brother - Wayne (Kimberly) Ross, Jr.; Nephews - Cortez Sloan, Neil Williams, Cameron Demyers, and Phillip Ross; Nieces - Sandra Sloan, Taylor Washington, Victoria Demyers, Isabella Demyers, and Imani Ross; Great-niece and nephew - Chloe and Cash Carter; Cousins - Larry Blue, Stephanie Blue, Erika Beasley, Qunicy Beasley, and Justin Reid and a host of extended family. She is also survived by her sister-friends – Tiffany Traczyk, Bridgette Horack, Danielle Washington, Courtney Simmons, Anne Hart-Kirkman, Jennifer Livingston, and The Peppas.
